Cal Poly Pomona's Jeff Bain and Cal State East Bay's Marcus Wise Selected CCAA Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal Poly Pomona junior Jeff Bain and Cal State East Bay senior Marcus Wise were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Baeball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Mar. 6-12.
CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Bain, a right-handed hurler from Pasadena, tossed seven scoreless innings to lead the Broncos to a series-opening victory over Southern California-foe Cal State LA.
In his sixth outing of the seaosn, Bain snagged his third-straight victory after allowing just four hits and a walk, while striking out seven.

CCAA Baseball Player of the Week
Wise had a huge weekend as the Pioneers won two-of-three games at Cal State San Marcos.
The Antioch product went 9-for-17 (.529) at the plate with seven runs scored, four doubles, three walks and eight RBI. He also had three stolen bases on the weekend.
Wise had mulitple hits and mulitple RBI's in all three contests, which was highlighted by his performance in the series finale, when he went five-for-six with four runs, four RBI, two doubles, a walk, and two stolen bases.
