SF State's Warren Jackson and Cal State East Bay's Shomari Harris Earn CCAA Player of the Week Honors
SAN RAMON – San Francisco State junior guard Warren Jackson and Cal State East Bay senior guard Shomari Harris have been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week
2016 CCAA Newcomer of the Year, Jackson is having another outstanding season and most recently led the Gators to a 2-0 weekend, which including an overtime victory against Stanislaus State and an upset win over No. 20 Chico State.
On the weekend, the Detroit product averaged 14.5 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Jackson shot 40.9 percent (9-of-22) from the field with five shots made from beyond the arc.
In a full 40-minute effort against the Warriors Jackson scored 16 points and dished out five assists. He shot 50 percent on five-for-10 shooting from the floor, including four-of-eight from three point range.
The followng night Jackson totaled 13 points, nine rebounds, three steals and one assist to help the Gators hurdle the Wildcats in the CCAA standings.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Harris snagged her second Player of the Week honor after leading the way for the Pioneers as they picked up their biggest victory of the year, a 71-57 road win over first-place UC San Diego, which also snapped the Tritons' 13-game win streak.
The CCAA's leading scorer totaled 31 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists over two contests last weekend.
On Friday against Cal State San Bernardino (47-59) Harris totaled 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. The following night she was even more impressive, scoring 16 points and pulling down five rebounds to go along with six assists and two steals.
