Stanislaus' Jordan Kron and LA's Christian Broussard Tabbed CCAA Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Stanislaus State's Jordan Kron and Cal State LA's Christian Broussard have been selected the 2017 season's first California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 1-5.
CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Kron's 2017 debut was outstanding as he snagged his first victory of the season against Fresno Pacific Saturday afternoon.
In eight innings, the Manteca product allowed one unearned run on seven hits, one walk, while striking out eight Sunbirds. The Warriors ace worked his way out of jams in both the third and four innings. After loading the bases in the top of the fourth, Kron stuck out two consecutive batters to keep FPU from taking a lead over the Warriors.

CCAA Baseball Player of the Week
Broussard had a tremendous series to lead the Golden Eagles to a three-game sweep over PacWest favorite and nationally-ranked Cal Baptist.
The right-hander tossed the series opener, going 7.1 innings and allowing just one earned run on eight hits, while stiking out four batters.
Offensively, Broussard hit .364, while also compiled a 1.273 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage. The Ramona product hit four-for-11 with three runs scored and seven RBI. His line totals also included three homeruns, a double, and three walks.
