UC San Diego's Claudia Cox and Savannah Forry Snag Season's First CCAA Track and Field Athlete of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – UC San Diego freshman Claudia Cox and senior Savannah Forry were named the season's first California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 20-26.

Cox turned in a provisional qualifying mark in the 400-meter hurdles to help the Tritons to a team victory at Saturday's Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos.
In the Greenville, N.C. native's collegiate debut she secured her first victory with a time of 1:02.38, leading the field by 1.64 seconds. She also placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.83.

CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Forry, Porter Ranch product, won a pair of individual field events during UCSD's season opener to help the Tritons to a first-place finish at the Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos on Saturday.
Her height of 5-8.75 was one of two provisional qualifying marks by the Tritons, while she also took first in the hammer with a toss of 148-3.
