Tritons' Beth Mounier and Toros Vincent Golson Earn CCAA's Final Basketball Player of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Vincent Golson and UC San Diego senior Beth Mounier earned the Caiifornia Collegiate Athleteic Association (CCAA) Men's and Women's Bsketball Player of the Week awards, respectively, for their performances during the final week of the regular-season play.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Golson, a guard from Oakland, shot 54 percent from the field, including a 50 percent effort from three point range, and 88 percent from the free throw line to lead the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team to a perfect 2-0 weekend and the program's best regular-season finish since the 2010-11 season.
In Friday's 84-75 win over Cal State San Marcos, Golson totaled 20 points and dished out five assists. The following night, Golson scored a career-high 32 points, shooting seven-for-10 from the field, five-for-six from the three-point line, and shooting 13-for-14 from the charity stripe.
Overall, Golson averaged 26 points, 5.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and a steal per game.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Mounier scored a team-high 16 points in UCSD's 66-60 win over Cal State San Bernardino in last Thursday's regular-season finale, leading the Tritons to the program's third straight CCAA Regular-Season Title.
The guard from Woodland Hills, shot 63 percent (5-for-8) from the field, which included a four-for-five effort from beyond the arc and was perfect from the free throw line (2-2). Mounier also totaled eight rebounds and dished out six assists.
