Chico State's Cam Greenough and Cal State San Marcos' Isaias Torres Named CCAA Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Chico State junior Cam Greenough and Cal State San Marcos sophomore Isaias Torres were tabbed the Californai Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 13-19.

Greenough went 1-0 while tossing 12 shutout innings in the Wildcats 1-1 weekend, including an 11-0 victory against Simpson University on Monday and a narrow 3-2 loss against 3rd-ranked Central Missouri at hte Houston Winter Inviational at Minute Maid Park on Sunday afternoon.
The transfer from College of San Mateo allowed just an infield single and one walk, while striking out 12 in five shutout frames against Simpson.
He had another stellar performance against the Mules, as he scattered just six hits, walked one batter and struck out seven in seven innings, but fell short of a decision after the Wildcats gave up the lead in the eighth innings.
Overall, Greenough allowed just seven hits, and two walks, while striking out 19.

CCAA Baseball Player of the Week
A catcher from Palm Springs, Torres caught all four games,w hile also leading Cal State San Marcos offensively in its four-game series sweep of Concordia (Calif.) last week.
Torres recorded a hit in all four games, including two multiple hit games in the series opener and finale. Torres hit .500 (7-for-14) with totals of eight RBI, and two runs, With the help of three doubles he also compiled a .714 slugging percentage.
In game two of the series, Torres was credited with the win, hitting the game-winning two-RBI double in the fourth inning to lift the Cougars to its eventual 2-1 victory.
