Jonathan Nichols Nets CCAA Player of the Week Award Dec 26, 2017 SAN RAMON, Calif. — Swishing his second game-winning bucket in the 2017-18 campaign, Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Jonathan Nichols has been selected as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for Dec. 18-24. The senior from Harbor City connected on a jumper with 3.7 seconds remaining in the Toros’ contest against UC San Diego last Tuesday for the 63-65 come from behind victory. The Toros trailed by a dozen nearly halfway through the final period before closing on a 23-9 run to top the Titons, capped by Nichols’ final basket. Nichols has put together a string of seven games of double-digit scoring and is currently shooting 39 percent from the field. The clinching shot is the second of the season for Nichols, who poured in the game-winner against Dominican in Cal State Dominguez Hills’ home opener on Nov. 14. M??
