Lauren Nicholson Selected as CCAA Player of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. — With a milestone week for Cal State San Bernardino, Lauren Nicholson has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for Sept. 25-Oct. 1.
Nicholson became the eighth Coyote to reach 1,000 career kills when she connected on 17 strikes in a 3-0 win over UC San Diego. One night later, she led the Cal State San Bernardino to their fourth straight sweep against Cal State Monterey Bay with nine kills. Over the last four matches, the senior from Upland has compiled a .455 hitting percentage (58/7/112) and owns a season attack average of .287 from her position on the outside.
Nicholson and the Coyotes take to the court next at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 4.
