CSUSB's Don Sullivan, CSUDH's Miguel Castaneda Named CCAA Pitcher & Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State San Bernardino junior Don Sullivan and Cal State Dominguez Hills junior Miguel Castaneda were selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 29-Mar. 6.
CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Sullivan, a Compton native, threw a six-hit, nine-inning shutout Friday to help the Coyote baseball team to a 2-0 win over Cal State San Marcos.
In a game that took less than two hours to complete, Sullivan struck out one batter, walked two, and never faced more than five batters in a a single inning.

CCAA Baseball Player of the Week
Castaneda, an infielder from Norwalk, had an impressive week against Westmont and San Francisco State, hitting .500 (8-for-16) with a slugging percentage of .813, which included two double and a homerun.
His weekend was highlighted by his final two games of the the Toros three game series against the Gators, hitting six for eight with three runs scored and seven RBI. In Friday's 9-2 nightcap victory, Castaneda belted a three-run home run and also drove in two more runs for a three-hit, five RBI performance.
The following day he was perfect that the plate, hitting three-for-three with a run scored and two RBI.
