SAN RAMON – Stanislaus State sophomore Christian Bayne was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 15-21.

The guard from Bakersfield averaged 24 points,  8.5 rebounds and 9 assists in the Warriors two exciting victories over Humboldt State and No. 20-ranked Cal Poly Pomona last weekend.

In Friday's triple-overtime thriller against the Lumberjacks, Bayne scored a career-high 27 points on six-for-15 shooting from the floor and 13-for-14 shooting from the free throw line. He finished just shy of a triple-double as he also totaled nine rebounds and eight assists on the night.

Saturday, in another overtime victory, Bayne led his team once again, scoring a game-high 21 points, while dishing out 10 assists and snagging eight rebounds to help the Warriors to their first win over Cal Poly Pomona since the 2013-14 season.
