Shokoor Earns Fourth CCAA Women's Basketball Player of Week Nod
SAN RAMON – UC San Diego senior forward Farrah Shokoor continues her outstanding season, earning her fourth California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor.
Shokoor led the Tritons to another CCAA sweep, defeating Chico State Friday night and Stanislaus State on Saturday, with her averages of 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2 steals, and a block.
The San Diego product led the weekend off with a 15 points, seven rebound effort, while also totaling weekend-highs of three steals and two blocks. The following night, Shokoor was even more exceptional, chipping in 21 points and pulling down 17 rebounds for her 13th double-double performance of the season.
On the weekend, Shokoor shot 63-percent from the floor and 65-percent from the free throw line for a total of 36 points. She also totaled 24 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and two blocked shots.
