Toros' Monay Lee Selected CCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Monay Lee was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week after helping the Toros improve its unblemished CCAA record to 11-0, which included wins at No. 21 UC San Diego and Cal State San Bernardino last weekend.
The Huntington Beach native averaged a double-double with 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She also averaged 1.5 steals and 1.5 assists in the two contests.
Lee tipped off the weekend with a season-high 23 points and 11 rebounds against the Toros. She shot nine-for-15 from the floor and four-for-seven from the free throw line to lead the Toros in securing a season sweep against the Tritons.
The following night, against a tough Coyote squad, Lee recorded her third double-double of the season after scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while also totaling two assists and two steals.
