2015 All-CCAA Women's Soccer Team Announced

POMONA – CCAA Regular-Season Champion Sonoma State highlighted the 2015 California Collegiate Athletic Association all-Conference team with 10 total selections, it was announced at Thursday's annual pre-championships banquet. 

Following the Seawolves was UC San Diego with eight selections. Cal State LA had five selections, while Chico State and Stanislaus State each named four players to this years team.

Chico State sophomore Pooja Patel was honored as this year's CCAA's Most Valuable Offensive Player after leading the Conference with 26 points, 1.44 points per game, and with eight assists. 10th-ranked Sonoma State senior Carolyn Greco was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Year. Greco anchored the Seawolves defensive line that allowed just five goals total on the season and ranks No. 2 among all Division II programs with a 0.28 goals against average.

The Newcomer of the Year nod wen to Wildcats' defender Erin Wood. Wood, who was named to this year's honorable mention totaled two goals and dished out three assists. UC San Diego's Mary Reilly was tabbed the Freshman of the Year, in addition to First Team honors, after scoring a Confernce-best nine goals and ranking third in the CCAA with 21 points. 

The 2015 Conference Coach of the Year comes from Sonoma State, Emiria Salzmann Dunn was selected by her peers as the top coach for the second time in four seasons. Dunn guided the Seawolves to an overall record of 13-1-3, which included 10 wins and two ties in CCAA play. 

The Tritons also named a Conference-best four individuals to the first team. Joining Reilly was forward Katie O'Laughlin, midfielder Jordyn McNutt, and defender Meghan Berry. Sonoma State trailed closely with three First team selections – goalkeeper Ashley Luis, midfielder Margi Osmundson, and defender Greco.

Rounding out the 11-player First team were Chico State forward Patel and midfielder Lindsey Dias, Cal State Monterey Bay forward Kristen Womack, and Cal State LA defender Danielle Telles.
