The fastest woman in the world, Carmelita Jeter was a six-time All-American in her three years with the Cal State Dominguez Hills track and field team, holding school records in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash for outdoor track and field and the 55-meter dash, 60-meter dash, and 200-meter dash for indoor track.

As the first-ever Cal State Dominguez Hills student-athlete to complete in the Olympics, Jeter holds the world record and earned a gold medal in the 4x100 relay, a silver medal in the 100 meters, and a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
