Scolinos was named CCAA Coach of the Year five times and was a three-time NCAA Division II Coach of the Year. In his 44 years as a head coach he accumulated 1,198 victories, placing him sixth in NCAA Division II baseball history. With the Broncos he posted an overall record of 822-736. The home of the Broncos was renamed Scolinos Field in 1987.
