For the second time this season, Cal State San Marcos’ Zeck Samayoa has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week.

Samayoa had a record-breaking weekend for the Cougars, leading the team to three wins over Cal State LA. The senior became Cal State San Marcos’ new single-season record holder for runs batted in with 59 while tying the team's single-season record for home runs with 18. He did all this while leading CSUSM with a .588 batting average (10-for-17), three doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI, and nine runs scored. He posted a .632 on-base percentage and a 1.294 slugging percentage in the series win.

Samayoa broke Ray Patchen's 2015 record of 56 RBIs with a three-run homer in his final home at-bat at Dennis A. Pugh Field and tied Austin Way's 2008 home run record of 18.

The Cerritos, Calif., native now ranks sixth in NCAA Division II with an .882 slugging percentage, and fifth with 0.44 home runs per game.
