High School Central Valley HS No. 1 Stanislaus State’s Gerardo Flores has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after powering the Warriors to another perfect weekend and extending their unbeaten streak to 14 matches. Flores fueled the Warriors’ attack with two goals and two assists across two matches that kept Stanislaus State atop the conference standings and clinched its first CCAA Tournament berth since 2015. Flores netted two second-half goals to power the Warriors to a 2-0 win over Chico State. He broke the deadlock in the 59th minute off a feed from Samuel Villanueva, then struck again in the 67th minute with help from Christian Brenes and Emmanuel Duran. His performance marked his second multi-goal match of the season and pushed the Warriors’ record to 12-0-1 overall. Two days later, Flores had two assists in Stanislaus State’s 4-1 road win in Seaside. He helped set up Emmanuel Duran’s go-ahead goal in the 67th minute before assisting Alexis Cervantes on the match-clincher in the 87th. The win kept the Warriors unbeaten away from home (7-0). In his first season as a Warrior, Flores leads the CCAA with 21 points and nine goals, including five game-winners, both program highs this year. His two-goal outing tied him for fifth on the Warriors’ single-season goals list, and his point total ranks seventh all-time.
