High School Milpitas HS Max Gonzales from Cal State East Bay has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 31-April 6, 2025. Gonzales pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout to defeat first-place Cal State LA 6-0. The senior right-hander allowed only five hits and struck out five. He did not walk a batter, and no runner reached third base. It was his second shutout of the season. The Milpitas, Calif., native lowered his CCAA-leading earned run average to 2.01. He is also second in innings pitched (53.2), fifth in strikeouts (46), third in wins (5) and first in opponent batting average (.205).
