Caleb Schaeffer from Cal State East Bay has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week for the week of Mar. 10-16.

Schaeffer pitched seven scoreless innings in relief, leading to two Pioneer wins and Cal State East Bay taking three of four in the series from No. 11 Chico State. The Reno native earned a four-inning save in the opener when he allowed no hits and struck out seven. Then, in the series finale, he went three innings, allowing three hits and no runs to earn the save. 

The right-handed reliever is now 1-0 with a 3.09 earned run average over seven appearances. He has 15 strikeouts in 11.2 innings.
