Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Trey Winget slugged his way to this week’s CCAA Baseball Player of the Week award, for the week of Feb. 19-25.

Winget batted .500 and belted three dingers in leading the Toros’ offense as CSUDH outscored Stanislaus State 33-13 to win the series 3-1. Winget posted a 1.917 OPS with a 1.250 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.

To start the series on Friday, the junior outfielder from St. George, Utah, went 2-for-3 with two homers from the No. 9 slot in the batting order. He drove in three runs and scored three times en route to helping CSUDH to a 10-2 win. After going 0-for-4 in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, Winget was 2-for-2 with another bomb in the team’s 14-4 win. He also had two hits in the series finale, won by the Warriors, 5-4.

For the week, Winget was 6-for-12 with five RBI, scored three times, walked three times, was hit by a pitch three times and stole two bases.
