Alex Eliopulos Award Player of the Week Week Of 2/25/2018 Sport Baseball School UC San Diego Year Position Hometown High School Alex Eliopulos, a redshirt junior third baseman, led No. 7 UC San Diego to its first CCAA series victory of 2018, 3-1 over Cal State Dominguez Hills. He hit .600 (9-15) and slugged 1.467, with a .714 on-base percentage, four home runs, one double, six runs scored and eight driven in against the Toros. Eliopulos was a perfect 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double, three runs and four RBI in Friday's 14-3 home rout, exiting the game after just five innings. He was then 3-for-5 with two home runs, a walk, two runs and three RBI to kick off Saturday’s twin bill with a 10-7 win. Eliopulos leads the CCAA in slugging (.870), runs (14-tied), hits (23), RBI (23), home runs (7) and at-bats (54). Next, the Tritons take on Cal Poly Pomona in a four-game home and home series. UC San Diego plays host duties Thursday and Friday night with the Broncos hosting a Saturday doubleheader.
