Cal State LA’s Rilee Crosby has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week. (Nov. 4)

Crosby shot a 4-under 212 to tie for sixth place at the highly competitive Las Vegas Desert Classic. She also helped the Golden Eagles set a school record with an 8-under par 280 in the second round.

Facing a field that included 15 golfers ranked in the top 50 nationally, the unranked Crosby opened the tournament with a 71 (-1) and backed it up with a 3-under 69 in the second round. She closed with an even-par 72 and tied her teammate Daniela Andrade for sixth.

The fourth-place finish was a great mark for the Golden Eagles in a field loaded with eight top-20 teams. CSULA entered the tournament ranked 20th, and finished ahead of four higher-ranked teams, including No. 7 UT Tyler and No. 11 Cal State San Marcos.
