Yandall of Cal State Dominguez Hills Nets Player of the Week Award Sep 4, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills junior Tati Yandall hit her way to CCAA Player of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2. In the weekend’s D2 West Region Volleyball Showcase, Yandall and the Toros went 3-1 in the San Francisco pod, and she was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts. In the first match of the weekend, Yandall recorded her first career 20+ double-double with 22 of the team’s 58 kills and 21 digs in a five-setter against Hawaii Hilo. She followed up her performance with nine kills on 47.1 percent hitting in a sweep of Academy of Art. After a 17-kill, 13-dig double-double against Montana State Billings, Yandall recorded 21 kills to go along with eight digs, two blocks and two aces and in the Toros’ tournament finale against Saint Martin’s. All told, Yandall finished the tournament with 69 kills on .293 hitting and 36 digs, and she’s now averaging 4.84 points per set through the first two weekends of the season. Conference play in the CCAA begins this week, and the Toros again travel to San Francisco to take on the Gators on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday matchup at Cal State East Bay.
