Cal Poly Pomona's Hamlin Named CCAA Player of the Week Sep 18, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. –– Cal Poly Pomona senior middle blocker Kristen Hamlin led the Broncos to another perfect weekend en route to CCAA Player of the Week honors for Sept. 10-16. The senior from Redondo Beach, helped the Broncos sweep aside Sonoma State and Humboldt State to stretch their winning streak to 10 consecutive matches. Hamlin scored 4.5 kills/set and hit at a sizzling .442 clip while tallying 10 total blocks on the weekend. In Friday's win over the Seawolves, she swung for 12 kills with no errors to boast a .545 hitting percentage, adding six blocks. In Saturday's victory over over the Jacks, she added a team-high 15 kills and tallied four more blocks. A weekly winner in 2015, this marks the second conference award for Hamlin. The Broncos hope to keep their streak going this weekend at home as the squad welcomes UC San Diego on Friday and Cal State San Marcos Saturday.
