Michelle Pineda Palacios Runs to Weekly Honor Sep 18, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. –– After a solid race against a swath of NCAA Division I competition, Cal State San Bernardino senior Michelle Pineda Palacios raced to CCAA Runner of the Week for Sept. 10-16. The senior from Fontana finished fourth among all NCAA Division II runners in the field at the UC Riverside Invite, clocking in at 21:52.3 to take 47th overall. Her performance helped the Coyotes to 12th in the team standings, and second out of all NCAA Division II competition, bested only by Azusa Pacific. This is the first career CCAA weekly award for Pineda Palacios. Next up, Cal State San Bernardino will host the Coyote Challenge on Saturday. The site of the 2018 CCAA Cross Country Championships, the race will be an opportunity for teams to preview the postseason course.
