Cal State Monterey Bay's Karlsson Nabs Season's First Golfer of the Week Award

SAN RAMON, Calif. – After a Top 10 finish to open the fall, Cal State Monterey Bay’s Linnea Karlsson has been selected as the first CCAA Golfer of the Week for the 2018-19 season, for the week of Sept. 5-11.

Karlsson, a senior from Äkersberga, Sweden, shot 77-76-153 at the 2018 Otter Fall Invitational with three birdies on the back nine in the second round of play to climb to spots to finish ninth individually and help Cal State Monterey Bay to fifth in the team standings. This is Karlsson’s second career CCAA Golfer of the Week award.

The Otters return to the course Sept. 24–25 at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz., competing at the Western New Mexico University Fall Invitational.
