Morales Claims CCAA Runner of the Week Sep 11, 2018 SAN RAMON, Calif. – After posting back-to-back individual wins on the course, Stanislaus State’s Clarissa Morales has been named the CCAA Runner of the Week for Sept. 2-9. Hailing from Modesto, Morales posted a career-best 6,000 meter time of 21:12.6 on Saturday night at the Stan State Kim Duyst Invitational. With the race getting underway past 9:30 p.m. under the lights of River Oaks Golf Course, the junior paced the Warriors team to the top of the standings for their second-straight victorious effort. Seven of the top 11 finishers in the race were Stanislaus State athletes after the squad boasted a perfect score at last week’s NDNU Invitational. Morales and the Warriors now have their sights set on their third race of the season as they close out the month at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento on Sept. 29.
