Chang Nabs Season's Final Golfer of the Week Award
SAN RAMON, Calif. — Cal State East Bay junior Carolin Chang has been tapped as the final women’s golf weekly award winner of 2018, earning California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golfer of the Week for April 4-10.
Hailing from Tainan, Taiwan, Chang finished tied for 17th at the Western New Mexico Mustang Intercollegiate helping the Pioneers to 13th in the team standings. She was outstanding in the first round of the tournament, making just one bogey in a two-under-par round of 70 (-2), her lowest score of the season. Following it up with a 76 (+4) on Tuesday, Chang tallied a final score of 146 to net her seventh top-20 performance of the season.
Next, all six CCAA squads will converge on Sonoma Golf Club to take part in the inaugural CCAA Championships April 16-18. Championships Central >>>
