Sergi Monso Selected as CCAA Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. – Cal Poly Pomona senior Sergi Monso has earned the accolade of California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 31 through Sept. 3.
Monso led the Broncos to a 2-0 start with victories over Azusa Pacific and Biola. The Barcelona native collected three goals and three assists through those two games.
On Thursday, Monso scored two goals and added an assist in the 5-1 home win over APU. Two days later, the senior midfielder tallied a goal and two assists to help CPP capture a 4-0 shutout of Biola.
The Broncos return to action Tuesday with a 7 p.m. home game against Fresno Pacific. To view the entire CCAA men's soccer schedule, go to
