Broncos' Jimmie Villalobos Selected as CCAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. – Cal Poly Pomona junior Jimmie Villalobos has earned the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 18 through Sept. 24.
The Oasis native scored in both of the Broncos’ games last week. Villalobos helped CPP capture a 5-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Friday and a 3-0 victory against Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday.
In Friday’s contest, he scored a goal on a penalty kick opportunity. Then on Sunday, he tallied two scores, including the game winner.
CPP will return to action on Friday with a 7 p.m. road match at UC San Diego.
