CSUSB's Cassandra Williams and Chico's Ari Marsh Tabbed CCAA Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State San Bernardino senior Cassandra Williams and Chico State sophomore Ari Marsh were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Apr. 24-30.
CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Williams went 2-1 in the Coyotes' final Conference series of the season, going 3-1 at Cal State East Bay.
The Apple Valley native allowed just 12 hits, seven walks, and four earned runs, while striking out 12 to help CSUSB secure the No. 2 seed in next weekend's CCAA postseason tournament.
Williams broke the program record for wins after collecting her 22nd with a nine-inning complete game performance on Saturday morning.

CCAA Softball Player of the Week
Marsh, a sophomore from San Diego, was instrumental in Chico State's series win over Sonoma State, which also helped the Wildcats secure the fourth and final berth to this year's CCAA Tournament.
Marsh hit safely in all four games, going 7-for-15 (.465) at the plate with two runs scored, six RBI, a double, and a walk. Her weekend was highlighted by her three-for-four effort in Friday's nightcap victory as Chico State outlasted the Seawolves, 8-6. She also contributed to Saturday's eight-inning 2-1 win with an RBI single in the first inning.
