Adam Stone Named CCAA Golfer of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State East Bay senior Adam Stone was selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-28.
Stone was runner-up at the CSUEB-hosted Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout after shooting a 210 (-3) in the 54-hole event, which took place last weekend at Hiddenbrook Golf Course in Vallejo.
The Garstang, England product played even better on Monday and Tuesday as he led the Pioneer to their second-straight tounament title at the East-West Bay Area Invitational. On Tuesday, Stone took home the individual medal with his seven under-par 209. He was outstanding in his final round as he carded a 66 (-6) with six birdies and 12 pars.
