Sonoma State Sweeps CCAA Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – Sonoma State's Brielle Vidmar and Madison Barto snagged the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Mar. 13-19.
CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Vidmar, sophomore out of Clovis went 4-0 in Sonoma State's eight wins last weekend against Ca State Dominguez Hills and Cal State San Marcos.
In 20 innings of work, Vidmar allowed just 13 hits and three walks, hit five batters, and struck out 19 batters, holding her opponents to a .191 average.
Vidmar's week was highlighted by her performance in Wednesday's 8-0 win against Cal State Dominguez Hills. She tossed her first-career no-hitter and SSU's 22nd no-hitter in program history.

CCAA Softball Player of the Week
A freshman first baseman from Elk Grove, Barto helped lead the Seawolves to a pair of series sweeps over Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State San Marcos last week.
Barto went 9-for-14 at the plate with two double, two home runs, and seven RBI for a .643 average and a 1.214 slugging percentage. Also reaching on four walks and one hit-by-pitch, Barto also compiled a .722 on-base percentage.
Defensively, Barto was perfect 14 putouts.
