Otters' Edward Hackett Named CCAA Golfer of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State Monterey Bay sophomore Edward Hackett snagged his first-ever California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golfer of the Week award after shooting a two under-par 70 Tuesday afternoon to finish in a tie for 11th at the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore.
Hacket finished with a socre of 221 (+5) after shooting rounds of 76-75-70, leading the Otters in par-4 scoring and ranking second in the field with 37 pars.
CSUMB finished third in the 18-team field and finished ahead of CCAA-foes -- Sonoma State, Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State Dominguez Hills -- with a 19-over 883.
