Coyotes' Jessica Brown and Lumberjacks' Madison Williams Tabbed CCAA Player and Pitcher of the Week
SAN RAMON – Humboldt State senior Madison Williams and Cal State San Bernardino junior Jessica Brown have been named the California Collegiate Athletic Associaton Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 20-26.
CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Brentwood native, Williams, went 2-0 with a pair of complete-game shutouts and earned her first save of the season as the No. 1-ranked Lumberjacks snagged a series sweep over San Francisco State.
Williams fanned 23 , whille allowing just seven hits in 16 innings of work.

CCAA Softball Player of the Week
Brown, a catcher from Rancho Cucamonga, led the Coyotes offense as they snagged a 3-1 series win over No. 16-ranked UC San Diego.
Brown hit .500 (7-for-14) and compiled a 1.071 slugging percentage with three runs scored two doubles, two home runs and four RBI on the weekend. Her weekend was highlighted in game one of Friday's doubleheader when she blasked a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to secure a 4-1 victory.
Defensively, Brown had 15 putouts and four assists.
