UC San Diego Sweeps CCAA Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – UC San Diego's Milana Casillas and Kelsi Maday were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 13-19.
CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Casillas, a senior from Venice, Calif., came in as relief in Wednesday's doubleheader against Azusa Pacific. In game one, she pitched 1.2 innings without allowing a hit to close out a 4-3 victory.
Then in the nightcap, Casillas pitched 6.2 innings of a 12 inning 4-1 loss to the Cougars. She allowed two earne runs on three hits, two walks, and had one strikeout.

CCAA Softball Player of the Week
A junior outfielder from Napa, Maday helped the Tritons to a doubleheader split against Azusa Pacific and an improved record of 9-1 on the season.
Maday finished one-for-eight with a run scored and two RBI.
