Ruth-Maria Soto Scoops Up CCAA Player of the Week Oct 24, 2017 SAN RAMON, Calif. - After an impressive weekend in the net, Ruth-Maria Soto has earned her first career California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honor for Oct. 15-22. The sophomore goalkeeper for Cal State Dominguez Hills amassed 21 saves in two games to lead the Toros to an undefeated weekend. The Torrance native compiled a career-high 10 saves in a 1-0 shutout win against Humboldt State on Friday. On Sunday, she re-wrote her career-high with 11 saves in a 2-2 double overtime draw against No. 19 Sonoma State.
