TJ Perez Powers His Way to CCAA Player of the Week Oct 24, 2017 SAN RAMON, Calif. - After powering Sonoma State to a pair of upset victories to shake up the men’s soccer standings, Sonoma State’s TJ Perez has been selected at California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for Oct. 16-22. Perez is sharing this week’s distinction with Chico State’s Andrew McCombs. Perez scored three goals on the week, two of which were game-winners, leading the Seawolves to two 2-1 upset victories against top CCAA competition. Facing off against his former team, Perez scored both goals in Friday’s win over Cal State LA with the game-winner coming in the 76th minute of action. Two days later, the squad upended Cal State Dominguez Hills after the senior from Santee booted in the game-winner in the 86th minute.
