Sergi Monso Earns Third CCAA Weekly Honor of Season Oct 17, 2017 SAN RAMON, Calif. - For the third time this season, Cal Poly Pomona’s Sergi Monso has been honored as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the span of Oct. 9-15. Monso, a senior forward from Barcelona, Spain, scored two goals and notched one assist as the Broncos went 2-0 on the weekend including a win over No. 23 Chico State. All of Monso’s scoring came in the Broncos’ contest against Stanislaus State with strikes on penalty and free kicks in the 3-2 victory. Monso now ranks second in NCAA Division II in goals with 17.
