Cal State LA's Nathan-Michael Guzman Races to CCAA Runner of the Week Oct 16, 2017 SAN RAMON, Calif. - After turning in a season-best, Cal State Los Angeles junior Nathan-Michael Guzman has been selected as the final California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Runner of the Week for Oct. 9-15. Hailing from Los Angeles, Guzman raced to a seventh-place individual finish at the Vanguard Invitational at Fountain Valley’s Mile Square Park on Saturday, turning in an 8K time of 26:20. His finish paced the Golden Eagles to third place in the team standings, and Guzman has been the front runner for Cal State LA in each of their six races on the season. Next, the 10 squads in the CCAA will line up for the conference championship at River Oaks Golf Course in Ceres, Calif.
