Monterey Bay's Carr Vernon Earns CCAA Golfer of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State Monterey Bay senior Carr Vernon was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of Mar. 30-Apr. 5.
The Poplar Bluff, Mo. product finished tied for third at the Mustang Intercollegiate, hosted at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.
Vernon finished as the top CCAA golfer, shooting a six-under par 210. He tied for first in Par-3 scoring at -1 and totaled 13 birdies for the three-round tournament.
