Chico State's Haley Gilham and UC San Diego's Kendall Baker Snag the Season's Final CCAA's Pitcher and Player of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – Chico State's Haley Gilham and UC San Diego's Kendall Baker snagged the Conference's final Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week awards of the season after wrapping up 2016 regular-season play with stellar finishes.
CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Gilham posted a pair of impressive wins over the weekend to help the Wildcats take three of four from visiting San Francisco State.
The sophomore from Norco, allowed just one earned run on seven hits, while striking out nine batters in 12 total innings of work, resulting in a 0.58 ERA for the weekend.
Saturday Gilham tossed a complete game, scattering six hits in the 4-1 win over the Gators and then on Sunday allowed just one hit and fanned four batters over five innings in the Wildcats 6-3 victory.

CCAA Softball Player of the Week
Triton sophomore, Baker hit .625 (5-for-8) with three runs score, one double and an RBI to lead UCSD to a doubleheader sweep of Cal State San Marcos.
In game one she went three-for-five with two runs, including the go-ahead run that lifted the Tritons to a 5-4, eight-inning victory. Then in the nightcap, Baker went two-for-three and drew a walk to help secure the 5-2 win over the Cougars.
