UC San Diego's Christian Cordell and Katie O'Laughlin Snagged Season's Final CCAA Player of the Week Awards
SAN RAMON – UC San Diego sophomore winger Christian Cordell and junior forward Katie O'Laughlin were tabbed the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's and Women's Soccer Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 24-30.
Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Cordell scored at 88:06 to help the Tritons to an improbable comback win over 18th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona and give 10th-ranked UCSD its first CCAA Championship Title in the program's 17 years as a league member.
The Tritons tied the winner-take-all tilt at 85:33, before Justin Duerksen's corner kick was slapped away by Broncos' goalie Justin Trejos, only for Cordell to poke the ball home from inside six yards.
On the weekend, Cordell totaled three points and was three-for-four in shots on goal.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week
O'Laughlin was key for the Tritons as they secured a perfect 12-0 record in CCAA play with their 2-1 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday afternoon.
The Carlsbad native assisted on the 64-minute equalizer and scored the 75th-minute game-winner to help eighth-ranked UCSD rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit and cap the league's first perfect season since 1998.
On the weekend, O'Laughlin was two-for-eight in shots on goal and totaled four points.
