CSUEB's Adam Stone Tabbed CCAA Golfer of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State East Bay senior Adam Stone was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Mens' Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, second in as many weeks, after wrapping up fall play with a second place finish at the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic at Vistat Valley Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Stone was the top CCAA finisher at the event the featured four Conference squads, including tournament-host Cal State San Marcos, Cal State Dominguez Hills, and Stanislaus State.
The Garstang, England native was unfazed by the tough, rainy conditions, shooting rounds of 74-70-73 for a 54-hold total of 217 (+4). He led the field with 40 pars and paced the Pioneers to a fifth place team finish.
