CPP's Luis Najera Jr. and CSUSB's Megan Vina Tabbed CCAA Soccer Players of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal Poly Pomona junior forward Luis Najera Jr. and Cal State San Bernardino senior keeper Megan Vina were named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's and Women's Soccer Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 17-23.

Najera Jr. was key in the Broncos pair of road wins over tough CCAA opponents -- Cal State LA and Cal State Dominguez Hills -- this past weekend.
Friday against the Golden Eagles, Najera Jr. scored the game-winner off a header in the 29th minute. Then on Sunday against the Toros, Najera opened the scoring, once again in the 29th minute, to contribute to the Broncos 2-1 victory.
With the two positive results, CPP has moved up to third in the conference standings with just one week left to play.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Vina played a large role in the Coyotes two 1-0 road wins against Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State LA which guaranteed CSUSB its berth to the Conference Tournament.
Vina totaled seven saves on 26 shots faced.
The transfer from Cal State Bakersfield has now secured three-straight shutouts and is now 8-2-1 in goal for the Coyotes.
