No. 24 Seattle Pacific held off S.F. State

SEATTLE — No. 24 Seattle Pacific held off a late SAN FRANCISCO STATE rally as the Falcons defended their home court with a 72-67 win Wednesday night. With the loss, SFSU dropped to 0-2 on the season before heading to Ellensburg for the Central Washington tournament.

Autumn Fielding had 14 points and Beth Christensen and Jackie Hollands each added 12 for SPU as the Falcons improved to 3-0.

San Francisco State was led by Brio Rodes with 18 points and Aumornai Edinburgh chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds. After a 7-point, 33-26 deficit at the break, SFSU found itself down 12 points with nine minutes to play. The Gators got within two at 63-61 at 2:19 on a Krystal Mays bucket.

SPU responded with an 8-2 run and held on for the win.
